“Hi Joan & Jeff,

Just wanted to let you know that about 2 weeks after our session ended I had the chance to pitch an idea to my Manager. Now, as a gardener with HRM, this is uncharted territory. My supervisor prepared me for the bad news that was sure to come but it didn’t. The manager liked the idea I pitched and funded the project. I think my supervisor was more shocked than I was.

I am being sent to speak at a National Conference in Toronto in two weeks. I’m talking about Historic Gardens with a Tourism Perspective. I only talk for 15 minutes and I get to show slides.
